Edward is from the small town of Sikeston, Missouri. He attended Sikeston High School where he was the school Vice President, was on the wrestling and football teams, and where he was involved in the drama, choir, and band programs. After high school Edward served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and then attended and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Edward met and married the love of his life, Stephanie Wright Felker, on August 6, 1997. Edward and Stephanie are the parents of six active children: Ross, Elizabeth, Drew, Mallory, Lucy, and Reed and one son-in-law, Trevor.
